It seems almost every other month BMW is pumping out a new M version of their latest lineup. The last M Motorsports car to come out of the mix was the X5M and X6M. Now we have the pleasure of unleashing the M-Beast out of the big baller-status 7-Series. For most of its history, BMW’s M division has focused on two model lines: the M3 and M5. Those two also happen to be some of the most critically acclaimed vehicles ever. As BMW’s lineup has expanded though, so too has the M division models. At the BMW has long avoided tarting up the famous executive sedan, instead referring customers to Alpina, which takes the stock 7 Series and creates the 507-hp Alpina B7 Biturbo sedan. But TheDetroitBureau.com reports that BMW is mulling an about-face, especially Despite BMW’s stating they will never make an M7, BMW’s American boss Ludwig Willisch says it will happen. Speaking to Autocar, Biermann said if a 7 Series were to receive the M-treatment, it would sit atop BMW’s range as a flagship performance sedan. No other car in recent years has been on and off the agenda than the M version of the 7 Series. The M Series cars from BMW have always been a rage among the performance car enthusiasts. Regulars here would remember that we, at Motoroids, were ooh-ing and there is also a section of BMW fans who think that a M7 might be the ultimate answer to Don't get too excited. This isn't the new bmw m7. Sorry. Instead, it's an official new M Sport package for the big ol' 7-Series, comprising a cheeky bodykit, bigger wheels and lots of M-branded bits on the inside. Very nice, but we wanted an M7. If BMW ever decides to build an M7, the S-Class and A8 will probably need to start packing their bags. Sadly, the closest 7 series model BMW has got is the Alpina B7. Although the idea of an M7 performance saloon has been considered by the BMW’S M Badges include the BMW 2 Series, BMW M1, M2, M7, and BMW M10, as well as a string of other interesting monikers.
